Anyway, this TV’s width is 31.3”.

With the stand secured on the set, its height and depth are 22.2” and 8.2” respectively. It weighs 19.8 lbs. Taking out the stand; the height and depth are now at 19.8” and 2.9”.

Black is the color of this LG TV, just like its LG 32LM6200 cousin — although the 32CS460 is not as slim as its cousin.

From the top of the bezel frame, down to the base of the stand the black color has a near glossy look. Its stand can swivel at 200 be it at the right or left. The stand has a rectangular shape and it is strong enough to support the 32 inch panel.

Speaking of TV panel, this LG brand uses a TFT Active Matrix technology. This technology is one of the best on the market in rendering picture on screen. Though it is not as powerful as plasmas, TFTs are still used by many manufacturers. LG seems to be very liberal in utilizing TFT Active Matrix display.

Full 720p HD Picture And Clear Voice II Technology

We found out that the LG 32CS460 has a 720p resolution. This seems to be disappointing as compared to other LG models that have 1080p HD resolutions like the LG 32CS560 LCD TV. Upon closer examination however, this is not the case.

Plus, there are five sound modes. The Clear Voice II feature is another advantage to hear the supposed weak sounds. In some films, the actors’ dialogues get lost in an exploding background sounds. Clear Voice II helps by optimizing the dialogues that you can adjust freely.

SIMPLINK and Other Easy-To-Access Connections

The SIMPLINK is LG’s own HDMI CEC brand name. It allows you to control all SIMPLINK–enabled devices with one remote control.

The LG 32CS460 has a universal remote control by the way. So you don’t need to go to each LG device just to issue the proper command. Take note that you must have HDMI cables to connect these SIMPLINK devices.

For those who do not know what HDMI is, it’s called the High-definition Multimedia Interface. Yes, this is a connector interface like the RCA plugs, TOSLINK, DIN, etc. Unlike the rest, HDMI transmits uncompressed video and audio data without major interferences.

This LG model has two HDMI ports at its rear. HDMI quality is fantastic. The picture and sound qualities are delivered better than analogue interfaces. It makes a 720p TV almost look like a 1080p TV. This evidenced by the growing interests of HDTV buyers. There is a single port for a USB device at the side of this TV. The location of the USB port is very good.

Is This TV Worth Buying?

The LG 32CS460 LCD HDTV is one of LG’s lower tier brands. It is the only model in the CS460 series as of writing this review. But it’s not a TV without amazing capabilities as shown here. In online ratings, the CS460 earned 3.5 out of 5 stars.

So this LG model is neither terrible nor perfect. It’s slightly higher than average. It also awarded with a 2.8 Greenpeace policy rating. As stated earlier, this LG TV is affordable and was discounted by some stores. But what is important is your personal decision whether you buy or not this TV.
